From James Baker's Flower Power Book:
Here's his timely tonic recipe and he suggests spraying all of your shrubs in early spring with this to prevent insect and diseases. He uses a 6 gallon sprayer and puts a red golf ball in the bottom of the spraying jar to keep the solution mixed. He also suggests spraying after 6:00 pm to catch the insects off guard. (lol)
1 cup of chewing tobacco juice I would probably mix it in a jar with water and then strain it.
1 cup of antiseptic mouthwash
1 cup of shampoo
6 Tablespoons of tomato/vegetable dust per gallon of water.
I love his book because he uses home remedies for most things. He also sprinkles medicated baby powder on bulbs before putting them in the ground to keep "thugs" away. :)
